Eat Well.
Eat Local.
From fresh tuna off the fishing boats at dawn to Michelin-starred tasting menus at sunset — your complete guide to dining in and around Cliff Villa.
Chef +
Bartender
Chef Koen will cook and pair a five-star meal for you at the villa. Cook the local fish you bought that morning on the beach, 5 mins from the villa.
Chef Brandon runs a fantastic team that often services the villa.
Boris the Bartender: Have an amazing night at the villa with two of the best bartenders on the island.
The villa kitchen is professional-grade — from top-of-the-line refrigerators and ovens to plateware and cutlery.
Fish at
the Villa
Fish is always fresh down at Playa Piskadó. Buy directly from the fishing boats — Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Blacktail Tuna, Yellowtail Tuna, Red Snapper, Queen Snapper, Wahoo, Sailfish, Amberjack, Black Grouper, Lobster, Octopus, Lion Fish and many more.
For tuna, ask them not to chop into steaks — fillet out the belly and top cut this way.

Shopping @
Centrum Supermarket
Centrum Supermarket is the best place to shop on the way from the airport. The only thing to please NOT buy is fresh fish — you will have that daily from the fishing boats at the local beach. One handy item for a quick fry: a bag of frozen shrimp.
Around
the Corner
The best food experiences start right on your doorstep — the beach, the cliff-top bar, and three hidden local gems just minutes from the gate.

Playa & Punta
Kalki
Down at the beach, within the gated community, there is a cliff-top beach club called Punta Kalki and a restaurant and bar on the public beach, Playa Kalki.
The new Punta Kalki boasts one of the most beautiful bars and restaurants on the island. Just behind the security gate on the way to Cliff Villa — stop for a cold beer or frosted Margarita overlooking Playa Kalki.
Punta Kalki Beach Club
Kunuku
Pachi Colá
A hidden, family-run local spot. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Try the delicious goat stew (kabritu stoba) — one of the most famous dishes of the ABC islands. Yummy.
Turn right at the gate and then left when you pass the beach.

Isabelle Off
the Beach
A lovely American-style restaurant in a beautiful old Dutch house with an inspired al fresco garden. One of the most charming settings in Westpunt.
Sol Food
Turn right at the gate and continue down the seaside road. Known as the best pizza on the island. Their brownies are great. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 12–9.
Tell Sunshine (the owner) that we sent you!

Marshe Barber
The next town is Barber. Every Sunday they hold a wonderful food market. Try the pumpkin raisin pancakes.
Address for your maps: Marshe Barber, Kaya Emiterio F. Doran, Barber
If you're adventurous, try Sopi di Sangue — Blood Soup — a traditional soup made from pork blood, vegetables, and spices. Thick and hearty, with a slightly sweet and sour taste from the vinegar.
Head Down to

A city built for wandering. Colonial facades, jazz-filled lanes, Michelin-starred kitchens, and the oldest synagogue in the Americas.

A collaboration between Dutch Michelin-starred chef Jonnie Boer and restaurateur Willem Alberts. Jonnie Boer is head chef and co-owner of De Librije in Zwolle, Netherlands — three Michelin stars since 2004.

Punda &
Pietermaai
Pastel façades, the floating Queen Emma Bridge, colonial lanes, jazz every Thursday night, and some of the island's most memorable restaurants.

Mundo
Bizarro
One of many wonderful restaurants and bars along Nieuwestraat — in my book, the most authentic and wonderful. Don't go for the food but for the music and atmosphere.
Interestingly, the restaurant is housed in a historic building that was once a brothel. Some original architectural features — including the wrought iron staircase — have been preserved.
Stroll down this street of colonial buildings and enjoy the food and atmosphere on an always perfect night.

Saint Tropez
Ocean Club
A slice of Miami's South Beach — just south of Punda in the restored Pietermaai district. A Mojito at the ocean-front bar is the perfect break when walking downtown.

La Reina
A quaint coffee and snack café right next door to Saint Tropez Ocean Club. Perfect for a coffee stop while exploring Pietermaai.

Plasa Bieu
The Old Market of Punda. Local fare includes traditional Curaçao cuisine (Krioyo). Try stewed salted pork tails, bòkel (salted mackerel), kabes ku higra (head and liver stew), kadushi (cactus soup), bonchi kòra (red kidney bean soup), goat stew (stoba) — and if you have room left, try Iguana soup.
The history of Plasa Bieu dates to the 1800s, during slavery in Curaçao. Once known as Marshe Bieu — the market was a place where enslaved people could buy and sell goods. As slavery was abolished in 1863, it evolved into a popular gathering place for all backgrounds.
Otrobanda —
The Other Side
Meaning "the other side" in Papiamentu, Otrobanda is the soul of Willemstad. Once home to dockworkers and freed slaves, its pastel streets now pulse with murals, music, and Caribbean rhythm — a UNESCO World Heritage neighbourhood.

Caleo Crudos
y Parrilla
Cross the Queen Emma Bridge from Punda and discover one of Otrobanda's finest dining spots. Caleo brings Argentine grill culture to the Caribbean with fresh local ingredients and an electric atmosphere.
caleocur.comDe Gouverneur
Near the harborfront street, lined with brightly painted 18th-century buildings, is a wonderful watering hole — De Gouverneur. This 200-year-old building dates back to when the British captured Curaçao in the early 1800s.
Try Keshi yena — cheese stuffed with spiced meat, olives, capers, pickled onions, and prunes. One of the island's most iconic dishes.

Helmi
Smeulders
Djonora Marthaweg 1 sits on one of Curaçao's quiet hillsides, home to the historic Landhuis Bona Vista, an 18th-century plantation house. Book an evening with Helmi — a wonderful island chef. She doesn't cook at the villa but can cater, and it's a fun city excursion.
Chef's Table: Helmi's famous dinners provide a chance to savour her artistry in stunning, handpicked island locations.
Cooking Classes: Hands-on classes that showcase her innovative Caribbean techniques — a perfect way to bring the island home.

Coffee Roasteries
Curaçao has a vibrant specialty coffee scene. Three worth seeking out:
Van Gogh Specialty
Coffee & Roastery
A city roastery in the Pietermaai District that roasts its own coffee on-site. Exceptional single-origin selections.
Find on Maps →The Coffee Roastery
Carib-Bean
Roasts its own unique organic blend. Located in the Promenade Shopping Center — great for picking up beans to take home.
Find on Maps →Café Barista
International
A beloved island institution with a wide selection of blends, international roasts, and a welcoming café atmosphere.
Find on Maps →Curaçao Blue
Visit Landhuis Chobolobo where they make the famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur. Buy some for a villa sundowner.
It's an amazing story — made from the dried peels of the Laraha bitter orange, brought to the island by Spanish explorers in the early 1500s. The Laraha is descended from the Seville orange; too bitter to eat, but its peel yields an exquisitely delicate flavour. The blue is just food colouring.
