Save Watamula

Save beautiful, iconic Watamula. Make Watamula into a protected park connected to the wonderful Shete Boka Park and Christoffel National Park to create an eco-corridor from the north-western tip of the island. || Red het prachtige, iconische Watamula. Maak van Watamula een beschermd park dat verbonden is met het prachtige Shete Boka Park en Christoffel National Park om een ecocorridor te creëren vanaf de noordwestelijke punt van het eiland.

Preserve Watamula’s Cactus Scrublands

This desert scrub eco-region is a haven for over two hundred bird species and other wildlife such as white-tailed deer. We all need to lobby to have this area protected for the forna, flora and wildlife. This is a valuable destination for tourists exploring the natural sea geysers carved into the coral. Watamula should be part of a larger network of parks which will be connected by ecological corridors.

We are actively lobbying to make Watamula a protected nature preserve. Please contact The Honorable Minister Charles Cooper Minister of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning Government (Minister van Verkeer, Vervoer en Ruimtelijke Planning) of Curacao and tell the minister that Curacao cares.
